OLD – Information & Technology Leadership Conference

The conference aims to advance leadership on campus by bringing together professionals to learn, listen, and collaborate on leadership topics impacting UW–Madison and the higher education community. Attendees were able to join us on November 30, 2021 for our eighth iteration of the Information & Technology Leadership Conference virtually and in person. This year’s theme was:

Lead with bold IDEAs

Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Access(ibility)

 

Information & technology professionals are leaders and collaborators. When leading in times of disruption, at the forefront or behind the scenes, in person or virtually, or somewhere in between, we all have the opportunity to drive change. Guiding change toward greater inclusion, diversity, equity, and ​​access(ibility) has the potential to improve the lives of our teams, the people we serve, and the broader community.

Join the planning committee for the 2021 conference!

Are you interested in joining an enthusiastic team from across campus in promoting leadership in information and technology? We’d love for you to participate as a member of the planning committee for the Information & Technology Leadership Conference (I&TLC)! The conference aims to advance leadership on campus by bringing together professionals to learn, listen, and collaborate on leadership topics impacting UW–Madison and the higher education community.

The planning committee is responsible for giving life to the I&TLC and directs the format, theme, and speakers. The time commitment is one to two hours per week throughout the planning phase and more as the conference approaches.

If you are interested in joining us, please submit the survey below by the end of the day on Thursday, July 1.

When we anticipate change, we prepare to respond to new demands, expectations, and roles. This work may come in the form of intentional recruitment, retention, and workforce development strategies; building a talent pipeline; or using data to forecast changes that will impact the group or organization.

During periods of change, decisions we make about communication can significantly influence attitudes and outcomes within our teams and larger communities. We communicate intentionally and unintentionally through the avenues of engagement and forms of communication we employ.

Change necessitates action. Regardless of how we have prepared, adapted, or communicated, we must move forward. Execution encompasses how we support our teams, delegate tasks, and document the process for decision-making, implementation, and iteration.

The 2019 UW–⁠Madison Information & Technology Leadership Conference (ITLC) featured an esteemed CIO Leadership Panel, comprising:
