Tamara Walker

Tamara manages the Productivity and Collaborative Solutions (PCS) group in DoIT’s Enterprise Internet Services department. She manages a diverse staff performing a variety of work including system acquisition and implementation, technical architecture and design, application integration, custom software development, consulting, project management, and enterprise system support. Tamara serves on the UW Committee on Women in the University, represents District 205 in the University Staff Congress, is a mentor in the UW IT Mentoring Program and the DoIT Management Mentoring Program, and is an active participant in multiple DoIT committees.
Tamara is a 20-year veteran of the IT industry and has worked in several divisions at UW-Madison including Intercollegiate Athletics, DoIT, and the School of Medicine and Public Health. She has a bachelor’s degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology, a master’s degree from UW-Madison, and is currently working on an MBA as she explores her next hop on the career path jungle gym.
