UWM & UWH – How I Navigated and Championed Both (Together!)

Understanding how UW-Madison IT operates is a feat, but meshing that with UWHealth’s IT and the contrast between the two enterprises is drastic. Jumping into my User Support role, I dove into this divided world and have managed to keep my end users happy while appeasing to UWHealth policies. I will share my initial findings and steps I took to mediate current issues and mitigate confusion down the line—one that can be applied elsewhere within the university for those that also interact with outside partners.
