Laura assists owners and managers in strengthening employee and customer relationships. Her practice includes consulting on issues of strategic planning, conflict resolution, employee motivation, team building, management development, emotional intelligence and customer service. Laura is a frequent public speaker and seminar instructor. She has presented a wide range of seminars and keynotes for hundreds of organizations in industry, government, higher education, and health care; both profit and not-for-profit. She is a regular instructor for the continuing education divisions at the UW-Madison and UW-Milwaukee. Her teaching approach incorporates high levels of experiential learning and participant interaction.

As Manager of Counseling for UW-Madison’s Small Business Development Center for 3 years, Laura assisted businesses with issues of new venture planning, growth, leadership and marketing. In Chicago, Laura was a management consultant with Ernst & Young/EY, a personnel administrator for a large national distribution company, a media analyst with Leo Burnett Advertising and a program director at Northwestern University. Her background also includes co-ownership of a rare book sales and small press publishing corporation.

Laura has been a Board Director and service award recipient of Wisconsin Women Entrepreneurs Southcentral Chapter and a member of the Madison Area Quality Improvement Network. She is a member and service award recipient of ATD the Association for Talent Development (former American Society For Training and Development), a member of the Madison Area Business Consultants, the Greater Madison Area Society for Human Resource Management, CORE (Consulting for Organizational Reflection and Effectiveness) and the Midwest Facilitators’ Network. Laura has been a volunteer seminar instructor and consultant for the United Way – Dane County Management Assistance Program, a volunteer adviser for UW-Madison’s Business LEAP program, and a service award recipient of the American Cancer Society.

Laura holds a bachelor’s degree in philosophy and a master’s degree in marketing/advertising with a certificate in administration from Northwestern University. She also holds a master’s in management development from UW-Madison.
